Here is how we celebrated his special day.
We went to the zoo a few days before his birthday. It was his first time, and he loved seeing all the animals.
The awesome giraffe slide
Komodo dragon?
Feeding the goats
Butterfly garden
Mommy's favorite: the giraffes
Penguins
Rawr!
For his birthday, he got a baseball bat. . .
. . . and a T-ball stand
We went to the park so he could try out his new toys.
Later, we drove into the mountains for a picnic, and Bennett played in the dirt. He's such a boy.
Eden enjoyed the mountains, too.
Happy birthday to you! Bennett knows the happy birthday song, so he'll sing along, and the best part is that he ALWAYS blows at the end of the song, even when there aren't candles. It's adorable.
There's the pretty little sister.
I just love them!
One day we went berry-picking in Nampa. Here the boys are picking blackberries.
Getting raspberries. Bennett was hot and bored after not too long,
but the fruits of our labors made it worth it.
And finally, here's a few pictures of baby Eden.
Here are some updates on the kiddos.
Bennett:
- At his 3-year appointment, he was in the 15th percentile for his weight and 6th for height. We weren't surprised that he's small for his age.
- He loves to sing. His favorites are "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" and the monkeys swinging in the tree song
- He says "hi" to every person we see
- Sometimes he calls Mom and Dad "Ryan" and "Heather." When he REALLY wants my attention, it's, "Mommy. Heather. Mommy. Heather. Mommy. Heather. . ."
- He loves baseball, nursery, cheese, baby sister, and watching cartoons
- He can count to ten and finally likes reading books with Mom
- He loves the bishop and includes him in every single prayer. He may or may not pray for Mom, Dad, and Eden.
- He loves talking on the phone with his grandmas
- He is SUPER adorable, and we are thankful for him everyday :)
Eden:
- At 2 months, she weighs 10 lbs 11 oz. (35%) and is in the 48th percentile for her height
- She can smile, coo, and roll from her tummy to her back
- She still likes being swaddled and wakes up once at night
- We think her eyes are going to be blue, and her hair is getting lighter (and thinner)
- She is a beautiful and sweet little girl :)
